Angels are watching over you
As you go about each day,
And guard you in the midnight hours
While you sleep the night away,
Although you cannot see them,
I am certain that they care,
For they were sent from Heaven
God's love has placed them there.

little children to come unto me,
and forbid
them not; for such is the kingdom of heaven.

You will
always be a child in my eyes.
Many times
you run across stories that touch your heart. This is one I thought had such a
beautiful concept of how God helps us.
Wishing to encourage
her young son's progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski
concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience
and walked down the aisle to greet her. Seizing the opportunity to explore the
wonders of the concert hall, the little boy quietly got up and eventually
explored his way through a door marked "NO ADMITTANCE." When the
house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to
her seat and discovered that the child was missing.
Suddenly, the curtains
parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror,
the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out
"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." At that moment, the great piano
master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano and whispered in the boy's
ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing." Then leaning over, Paderewski
reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his
right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running
obbligato. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a
frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was
mesmerized.
That's the way it is
with God. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our
best, but the results aren't exactly graceful flowing music. But with the hand
of the Master, our life's work truly can be beautiful. The next time you set
out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully. You can hear the voice of the
Master, whispering in your ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing." Feel His
loving arms around you. Know that His strong hands are there helping you turn
your feeble attempts into true masterpieces.
Remember, God
doesn't call the equipped, he equips the called. And He will always be there to
love and guide you on to great things!

I will lift up mine eyes unto

When all Else Fails
When you're up against a
struggle
that seems too big for you,
When your mountain seems too tall
to ever be removed,
Just set your eyes on Jesus
and go to Him in prayer,
Because when all else fails,
Our Lord is always there.
When your faith is all but crushed,
by Satan's evil schemes,
When nothing else remains in you,
but broken hopes and dreams,
Then set your eyes on Jesus,
And focus on His love,
Because when all else fails,
Our Father reigns above!
When your life becomes a struggle,
to even rise each day,
When prayers do not come easy,
you don't know what to say,
Just call the Name of Jesus
and worship at His feet,
Because when all else fails,
God's love for you runs deep.
When you call the Name of Jesus,
and ask Him to forgive,
When you come to Him for mercy,
that is what He gives!
So set your eyes on Jesus
and go to Him in prayer,
Because when all else fails,
Our Lord is always there!
God is so good!
He's so good to me!
When I
say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I was lost!"
"That is why I chose this way."
When I say..."I
am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Jesus to be my guide.
When I
say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and pray for strength to carry on.
When I say..."I
am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.
When I
say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
my flaws are much too visible
but God believes I'm worth it.
When I
say..."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I seek His name.
When I
say..."I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I'm loved.
